After 18 years of selling wine in Las Vegas, the Coronavirus summer of 2020 presented opportunity to tilt the wine landscape back from the national suppliers and their legacy distributor partners to the advantage of the smaller, family-owned producer. Using catch-phrases like optimized and right-sized, many such producers found themselves fired by their distributor, with sommeliers and buyers no longer able to purchase the wines they've long supported. Additionally, wineries seeking new distribution in Las Vegas found themselves faced with no one wanting new inventory. With Las Vegas CLOSED for the first time ever, we thought this the ideal opportunity to start a new wine company. When the entire industry zigged, we zagged. And so, Novel Wines was born. What began with just 2 wines and restaurants at 25% capacity has grown to almost two dozen suppliers, and a full return to normal on the strip and in the flourishing neighborhoods.
